What Movies Have I Seen Lately?

Anyone who knows me, knows that I thoroughly enjoy watching movies. Even more, date night at the movie theater is my favorite kind of date night with bae. I joke a lot that if I could, I would be a movie critic for the rest of my life.

The last couple of months has been successful as far as movies go (I may have only seen 1 or 2 bad movies). I'm not going to do a full critique of all of the movies I've seen, instead, I just want to share some of my box office favorites that I suggest EVERYONE go see.

1. Mama Mia: Here We Go Again-I'm not going to ply like I saw the first Mama Mia YEARS ago and have been a fan ever since lol, but I have listened to the music from the Broadway version and love it. I recently watched Mama Mia (it's on Netflix in case you're wondering) and the squeal is equally as good!

2. SuperFly: if you're a Trevor Jackson fan from Grown-ish, then you'll like SuperFly. If you like Power, you'll like SuperFly. Now, I have to admit, I didn't know this was a remake of an older movie. But I still enjoyed it nonetheless! Also, it's not meant for kids.

3. Ocean's 8: this one is also a remake (not going to lie, I had no idea) but the movie was amazing! Sandra Bullock and Rhianna in one movie? I'll take it. Never a dull moment and keeps you laughing the whole time.

4. Incredibles 2: I probably say this a lot, but I REALLY mean it: ANYONE who knows me knows I love my Disney movies. So seeing Incredibles 2 was a must for me. I loved it! And I won't say anything else (also, the short at the beginning met my standards for Disney short films).

Honorable mentions (from earlier this year but still good): Deadpool 2, Blockers, Avengers: Infinity Wars, and Black Panther

Movies I'm looking forward to seeing: The Equalizer 2, Tag, Jurassic World, Ant Man and the Wasp. And these are just within the next couple of weeks/months. I can't wait for what's to come later this year!

Update: I have actually seen Jurassic World before publishing this post, annnnnnnd I'm indifferent to it. It was good but I'm attached to Jurassic Park and its use animatronics vs the CGI of Jurassic world.
