So this is my last week as an undergrad before finals week and it seems so unreal.

The last few weeks flew by and I enjoyed that because it meant I was closer to the end. I just hope that this last week goes smooth too.

I want to share with my readers what I've done the last couple weeks and some things I'm looking forward to this week!

Grad Pictures

This is just a sneak peek, but this week my photographer sent me my cap and gown pictures and they are SO beautiful. It just made me more excited for my upcoming graduation. Maybe I'll make a slideshow/photo album to share them with you guys.

OsteoMAPS

On Saturday the 21st, I had the chance to participate in a program provide by the MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM), along with SNMA (Student National Medical Association) and MSU MAPS (Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students). During this event, I got the chance to hear from a panel of MSU COM students and a faculty member, learn how to do sutures (on a pigs foot!), learn some osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM, the part that makes an osteopathic doctor [DO] different from an allopathic [MD]), and tour the anatomy lab and see some real cadavers (the dead bodies!!!). I honestly enjoyed the opportunity to nerd out and see how many body parts I could label on the cadavers and test my anatomy skills from fall semester. If you are pre-med I highly recommend joining MAPS and

participating in this event.

OYLF (Our Young Leaders Foundation) Gala

A few friends of mine started a non-profit organization called "Our Young Leaders Foundation" and I couldn't be any more proud of them. These are people that I met while they were freshmen and sophomores and have seen them grow into the young people they are today. The president (Malik Amir Mix) invited me to their inaugural gala introducing the board and what the organization is about. I'm excited to see what they continue to do within their community and beyond. It was a pleasure to be a part of this evening and I really enjoyed it.

What to look forward in this coming few weeks???

Move out day! I'm moving from East Lansing to Kalamazoo this weekend back in with my *gasp* MOM! This may be shocking to some because most recent grads think "I could never". But my mom is legit my BFF and I'm low-key excited. I'm going to write a post about how it is living with my mom as a recent graduate so stay tuned.

Black Grad! Every year, MSU African American Celebratory puts together an event that is commonly known as "Black Grad". I've been looking forward to this because it's literally a graduation for the black students. Black grad is a week before my graduation and it starts the celebration on Friday, the 27th.
