So I Started a Blog...Now What?

The idea of having a blog to me seemed like it was for people who had everything together. These were people who had topics people wanted to read about.
At the beginning of 2018, I wrote down that I wanted to begin a health education initiative. It would align with my interest in medicine and public health. But since I'm not in med school yet, and not exactly going to pursue a degree in Public Health, I wasn't sure how I would be able to start this and where to get my information (besides from sites like WebMD), and that didn't seem like the right way to go.
While talking to my boyfriend about YouTube and vlogging, I mentioned to him how I've always wanted to start a blog. And after encouragement from him, I decided "Why not?" and went for it.
I took out my notebook and started to jot down ideas like page titles and blog topics. I did this while at work (you'll learn I do a lot of outside work while at work lol) and started drafting a site.
So here it is! My baby. I'm excited to see where this blog will go. Kind of feel like I'm Moesha, just not with a diary ;)
So, I started a blog...now what?
This site will be dedicated to giving the inside scoop to my life as a pre-med student (and soon med student and in the future a black woman in medicine). Here, you'll find post about the do's and don'ts of pre-med at MSU (or any institution), what my gap year is looking like, how I'm coming along on MCAT prep, the med school application process, and *gasp* living with my mom (more on that later).
But don't worry my non pre-med readers, there's going to be plenty of content for you too! From natural hair to relationships. This won't be strictly for STEM.
So yes, I'm a blogger now. Stay tuned for my next post.
Signed
Sasha
